How fun is this  Gnome Christmas Tree  from Twistoon!? I colored this in with my alcohol markers and added some white highlights with a white gel pen. I layered it one some patterned cardstock and used a "merry&bright" Stampin' Up! sentiment. Lastly, I embellished it with some Pearl Green Nuvo drops! I was eagerly awaiting to receive my SSS September 2021 card kit in the mail! I love the sunflower theme and all the patterned papers! I was too excited to make my first card so I made a quick one where I let the paper do all the work :). I LOVE all the papers from the P13 Four Seasons-summer set! I think I will have to buy more! I used the "happy birthday" sentiment die included and cut it twice for some added dimension.    Hey everyone! We have another lovely challenge at  The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog ! The theme for this challenge is "Favorite Color Combination sponsored by  Sheepski Designs . I chose this "Little Wish" digital stamp and printed it in white cardstock. I thought this image was PERFECT for young kids or babies! My favorite color combination is turquoise and gold! Leave a comment below to tell me your fave color combo! I printed the image twice and cut one out as a mask so I could color the background. I used Catherine Pooler Ink in "All That Jazz" with a blending sponge to create the soft background. I used alcohol markers to color in the elephants and then heat embossed the heart in gold. I layered some striped gold patterned paper with a turquoise background and cut out the "baby" sentiment using my Cricut. I am loving using my Cricut to do quick word sentiments!   This SimonSaysStamp kit from the August Card Kit has been my go to stamp set for cards for kids! So fun and Playful! I used the patterned paper included in the kit to create the background and then colored in the stamped images with colored pencils.   If you can't tell by now, I am ready for FALL! I wanted to create another card with the CC Designs New Release! CC Designs is the lovely sponsor this week at  Passionate Paper Crafters and Family Facebook Group ! Make sure to check out the Facebook Group for a special sale going on now! I wanted to do a 3 circle popout layout. I used my Cricut to cut out three circles to act as a frame for the stamps. I colored them in using my alcohol markers and fussy cut them out and arranged them in the circles.   I was in need of a birthday card for a birthday party this weekend..but was kind of in a creative rut. So I found a sketch online to follow! I realized getting some inspiration is just the boost I needed. I used this super cute hippo image from 2cuteInk . I colored in the hippo with my alcohol markers and used some patterned cardstock for the background. Sassy and Crafty is the lovely sponsor this week at  Passionate Paper Crafters and Family Facebook Group !  Fall is right around the corner (even though summer felt like 0.2 seconds) so I am definitely getting in the Fall cozy mode. I got this perfectly Fall themed stamp set from Sassy and Crafty "Pumpkin Spice". I colored all the images using alcohol markers and arranged them on the corner of some patterned cardstock. I used some  twine to add some more interest and used opaque yellow and gold dots to embellish. I stamped the sentiment with gold powder on some green cardstock and used twine to make a bow and attached it to the card. Thanks for stopping by! I was in the mood to craft today and looked around my cardmaking collection and felt compelled to make another card using the August 2021 Simon Says Stamp Kit. I decided to use more of the patterned cardstock this time since it coordinates so well with the stamps in the kit. I stamped the frog, lily pad and crown and colored in using my alcohol markers. I used my Cricut machine to cut a tag with the plaid yellow cardstock and a circle from white cardstock. I am really trying to use my Cricut more for cardmaking! I stamped the "wishing you the best day ever" sentiment that I had in my collection on a kraft cardstock and used foam squares to prop it up a bit. All Dressed Up really has the cutest images! There are so many I have saved to create with later but for this card I used a  freebie from their site. Instead of my usual alcohol markers, I colored these with colored pencils! I mounted the image on red cardstock and then chose this super cute "kiss" patterned paper from the "Get Glam" Recollections patterned paper pack as the background. I rarely make  square cards so decided to make this one a square one!  I heat embossed this cute "Happy Birthday to YOU" sentiment in white on the same red cardstock that I used earlier. Finally, I embellished the card with a white bow!  I recently organized my clear stamps in a much more easy to find method (head over to my Instagram to see it) and I came across this lovely "Woodland Creatures" stamp set I had from HeroArts. I never used this to make a card so decided to finally put it to use! These mushrooms were colored with my colored pencils and I propped the blue mushroom with some foam tape. I stamped the sentiment (also from the stampset) and added it on some blue cardstock with foam squares. I am ALL ABOUT dimension!  I'm a creature of habit, anyone else? I feel like my card layouts were starting to look the same so I decided to mix up the layout a bit with different patterned papers. I used the "Lotus Blossom" Layering stamps from Stampin' Up for the first time and am loving how the flower turned out! I cut out the flower bud from the stem and propped it up with some foam squares. I cut out a small rectangle cardstock and mounted that on different designer papers from Stampin' Up.   The Passionate Paper Crafters and Family Facebook Group just opened and we are having lots of fun over there! Great projects and ideas being shared-including a FREE digital image by Dustin Pike! How fun is this beachy flamingo? Head on over to the group to get in on the fun!  If you don't know by now, I love puns..and punny cards. So I came across this cute "Party like a Flockstar" sentiment and typed it up before printing out the flamingo image. I colored in the image with alcohol markers and then added some white accents with my white enamel paint pen. Today was one of those days where I wanted to turn my brain off and craft, so I stuck with pinks and greens for my cardstock panel and mount.   I do love shaker cards, and I've been seeing this edge-to-edge shaker card trend around and I just had to give it a try! It was actually much easier than I anticipated. I took the navy blue patterned cardstock that was included in my SSS August Card Kit and cut it down to about 5x6. I then cut an acetate sheet slightly larger than the cardstock and folded 3 edged down and taped them with double sided tape. In the open side, I added in my shaker elements (included in the monthly kit) . I taped it up and voila! Shaker element is done!! I stamped the frog and lilypad and colored in with my alcohol markers. I embossed the sentiment in white on green cardstock which I also used as the mounting for my front card panel!  Okay, I will admit I am a girly girl. and this card made me all kinds of happy. I came across this freebie from  All Dressed Up Stamps  and immediately had so many ideas. I first gravitated towards a solid cardstock as my mounting base but then decided to have some fun with patterned cardstock. I have lots of patterns but find myself being too afraid to mix and match patterns. Hence, explaining the origin of  my "Patterned Paper Series." I colored in the digital image using alcohol markers on white cardstock. I had a patterned paperpad from Recollections called "Get Glam" and used one of the "hello beautiful" sentiments that was already printed on the paper. I attached it with some foam squares to give a little added dimension. Easy right?! I mounted it on a hot pink cardstock and then mounted the whole set on a white and black polka dot cardstock from the same paperpad. Not only do I love using patterned paper as a background, but I also like using it fo...

I was first introduced to cardmaking with the use of rubber/polymer stamps, and just recently discovered digital stamps. And all I have to say is..where have I been?? They need less storage and are less mess (don't need to worry about getting a perfect black outlined stamped image). I also love being able to color with alcohol markers or colored pencils easily!  I'm using this digital stamp set by All Dressed Up. How adorable is this? It was originally a Christmas stamp but can be easily used for other occasions-I just covered the star with another star (like a birthday! Which I intend to use it for here) I used my Shuttle Art Alcohol Markers to color the image. Check out my Instagram page for a sneak peak into a "color with me" for this image.
