[Monochrome Blue] August: Simply Too Create DT

Hello! For this month's challenge at Simply Too Create , the theme is "Monochromatic". Please head on over and check out the challenge! Leave a comment if you submit an entry as I would love to check it out!  I decided to go for an all blue monochrome look as I was inspired by this ribbon I saw in my stash. I started out diecutting the "How Kind of You" Sizzlit sentiment in a baby blue cardstock. I had these wooden floral stamps that I stamped as a background in differing shades of blue. I mounted the panel on the same cardstock as the sentiment and topped it off with the ribbon that started it all :)  Thanks for stopping by! [Thank you Tulips]

I got in the zone coloring this gorgeous Tulip Image from Sheepski Designs. I thought it was so beautiful yet simple, I wanted it to be the main focus of this card. I colored it with my alcohol markers, experimenting more with blending and trying different color combinations. I embossed this "thank you" sentiment with red embossing powder. I decided to layer it on two different Stampin' Up cardstocks to give it some design interest. Of course, I embellished with some sequins!   Thanks for stopping by! It's been so fun seeing the previous work of the other team members and getting to know the team.  There are challenges twice a month (on the 1st and 15th) with sponsors and prizes! Check it out and be sure to submit your creations- I can't wait to see them. Now on to the challenge.... The theme was "Layered Up" and the digital image I chose, Fred's Dahlia's, was sponsored by Fred She Said .  There's about a billion different ways you can use these floral and leaves images! Endless possibilities.  I printed these images on White cardstock (I printed the images in multiple sizes to get more variety) and colored them in using colored pencils. I embossed the flower and leave centers with gold embossing powder. I love adding little details in my cards! The hardest part was arranging the florals..I just couldn't de...
