[Birthday Wishes] Simon Says Stamp August 2021



I was in the mood to craft today and looked around my cardmaking collection and felt compelled to make another card using the August 2021 Simon Says Stamp Kit. I decided to use more of the patterned cardstock this time since it coordinates so well with the stamps in the kit.

I stamped the frog, lily pad and crown and colored in using my alcohol markers. I used my Cricut machine to cut a tag with the plaid yellow cardstock and a circle from white cardstock. I am really trying to use my Cricut more for cardmaking!

I stamped the "wishing you the best day ever" sentiment that I had in my collection on a kraft cardstock and used foam squares to prop it up a bit. I embellished with some enamel dots!

[Oceans of Joy] Multi-Occasion Card

I am still building my cardmaking collection, and it is SO easy to get into the blackhole of buying endless craft supplies. I really need to stop myself. I came across this adorable ocean themed stamp set,  Oceans of Joy , from Sunny Studio Stamps! Head on over to my Instagram to see a reel on how I made this card!     I wanted to create a fun wavey background so I took some scrap cardstock and cut a "wave" pattern and used it as my stencil with a blending sponge and my Stampin' Up spot inks. I LOVE how it turned out. I wanted to add more texture so I purposefully blended with differing pressures to get some texture in the background. I can't wait to make and use more stencils in my cardmaking. I stamped the sentiment, whale, crab, and water images using my misty on some textured white cardstock and colored in using my Prismacolor colored pencils. All About Layering 3: AECP

Hello everyone! Happy New Year!! I was recently accepted into the Altenew Educator Certification Program and can’t think of a better way to start off the year!  I think anyone who is a floral lover knows that Altenew has some of THE best stamps, dies and stencils.
