[Ballerina Birthday] Hello card

I was first introduced to cardmaking with the use of rubber/polymer stamps, and just recently discovered digital stamps. And all I have to say is..where have I been?? They need less storage and are less mess (don't need to worry about getting a perfect black outlined stamped image). I also love being able to color with alcohol markers or colored pencils easily!

I'm using this digital stamp set by All Dressed Up. How adorable is this? It was originally a Christmas stamp but can be easily used for other occasions-I just covered the star with another star (like a birthday! Which I intend to use it for here)

I used my Shuttle Art Alcohol Markers to color the image. Check out my Instagram page for a sneak peak into a "color with me" for this image. I added some embossing accents..the hair clip, tutu, and wings to add some detail.  I cut out another star and embossed it with yellow embossing powder and popped it up with some foam squares.

For the background, I used my blending brush and blended "Marina Mist" from Stampin Up! Then, I used a stencil to create the dark blue pattern with a navy blue stamp from Stampin Up. I then attached it to a patterned paper and stuck it on a card front! I found these gems from Dollar Tree and embellished the card with some gold stars

  4. Fantastic card! I love this sweet image and you made a great job with colouring it! I especially love her wings. I agree with you, digital stamps are great in many way (I like that you also easy can flip them around and resize them) even though it gives me great satisfaction to stamp too.

[Salt and Pepper] Brutus Monroe

Hey all! Valentine's Day is right around the corner!  I created this card by cutting  paper strips from the "Be Mine" Paper pad and staggering them on the left side. Then I stamped the "Salt&Pepper" stamp and sentiment using Detail Ink in Raven and colored it in with alcohol markers.  Thanks for stopping by! [Oceans of Joy] Multi-Occasion Card

I am still building my cardmaking collection, and it is SO easy to get into the blackhole of buying endless craft supplies. I really need to stop myself. I came across this adorable ocean themed stamp set,  Oceans of Joy , from Sunny Studio Stamps! Head on over to my Instagram to see a reel on how I made this card!     I wanted to create a fun wavey background so I took some scrap cardstock and cut a "wave" pattern and used it as my stencil with a blending sponge and my Stampin' Up spot inks. I LOVE how it turned out. I wanted to add more texture so I purposefully blended with differing pressures to get some texture in the background. I can't wait to make and use more stencils in my cardmaking. I stamped the sentiment, whale, crab, and water images using my misty on some textured white cardstock and colored in using my Prismacolor colored pencils. In hindsight, I wish I had used a smooth white cardstock instead, as it makes the coloring look a little messier than I...

All About Layering 3: AECP

Hello everyone! Happy New Year!! I was recently accepted into the Altenew Educator Certification Program and can’t think of a better way to start off the year!  I think anyone who is a floral lover knows that Altenew has some of THE best stamps, dies and stencils. It was one of the first brands I purchased when I started out my paper crafting journey. Of course, they have so much more than florals in their shop and I am so excited to dive into this process. I’ve already started some of the classes and it has really reinvigorated my passion for crafting and card making. I’ve brushed on some techniques and also picked up some really great tips along the way! Let’s take a closer look at the first class I completed… The first class I did was the “All About Layering 3” course taught by Lydia Evans. To be honest, I went into this course thinking I was a Layering Expert (dare I say, Layering Queen .. I don’t think I’ve ever made a card without some sort of layering)…but to my surprise, I...
