Peace Sign Marci- La La Land Crafts

Hey crafty friends! Today I am sharing a bright and happy card featuring the adorable Peace Sign Marci stamp from La La Land Crafts. She brings all the retro cuteness and fun energy to this project. I colored in Marci using my Ohuhu markers. I ventured out by trying to color in some printed pants on Marci. Definitely need more practice but I had fun :)

I paired Marci with the Arches Dies to frame her and create a soft focal point that really draws your eye to the image. For the background I used patterned paper from the At the Circus Paper Pad. The bold zigzag pattern adds so much movement and color and sets the perfect playful tone.

To finish the card I added a simple sentiment banner that reads Forever Chasing Sunsets which ties in perfectly with the carefree vibe of the design.

This card was such a joy to create and is a great reminder to mix cute images with bold patterns for a fun and eye catching project. Thanks so much for stopping by and happy crafting!

[Oceans of Joy] Multi-Occasion Card

I am still building my cardmaking collection, and it is SO easy to get into the blackhole of buying endless craft supplies. I really need to stop myself. I came across this adorable ocean themed stamp set,  Oceans of Joy , from Sunny Studio Stamps! Head on over to my Instagram to see a reel on how I made this card!     I wanted to create a fun wavey background so I took some scrap cardstock and cut a "wave" pattern and used it as my stencil with a blending sponge and my Stampin' Up spot inks. I LOVE how it turned out. I wanted to add more texture so I purposefully blended with differing pressures to get some texture in the background. I can't wait to make and use more stencils in my cardmaking. I stamped the sentiment, whale, crab, and water images using my misty on some textured white cardstock and colored in using my Prismacolor colored pencils. In hindsight, I wish I had used a smooth white cardstock instead, as it makes the coloring look a little messier than I...

[Good Luck Critters Rainbow] Time for Tea Designs

Hey all! I'm here sharing another card featuring the Time for Tea Designs "Good Luck Critters" stampset. I first used the "Rounded Rectangle" die set to cut one panel in white cardstock and one in red. I ink blended the white cardstock with "Tumbled Glass" Distress Oxide around the edges. I added some blue splatters for added interest. I cut in the rainbow and cat image from the stampset and colored in with alcohol markers and finished it off with a sentiment Thanks for stopping by! Lime All Yours

Hey all! I'm here sharing today's card with  Time for Tea Designs! I used the Squeeze the Day stampset to create this citrus filled card!  To create this card, I first took an A2 white panel and stamped the row of citrus fruits in yellow, orange, and green in an alternating pattern. This will be our background. Next, I stamped three citrus wedges (I decided to make mine limes) and one circle citrus. I colored them in various shades of green and yellow-green to resemble limes. After coloring and diecutting these out, I placed them on the left side of the panel with foam tape for dimension. I stamped the sentiment with white embossing powder on a black cardstock for contrast. This is my favorite way to show sentiments (if you can't tell already!) Lastly I added some dots of yellow and green on the left for some added interest. Thanks for stopping by! Jill
