Seasonal Scene Building: AECP

Hello everyone! I’m back to share another card for my AECP Level 1 Journey. This card is inspired by the “Seasonal Scene Building” class taught by Nichol Magouirk (Spohr). Building scenes is definitely something I struggle with! I very rarely make cards like this so it was nice to step out of my comfort zone!



For this card, I used the Mountain Scene Stencil as the focal point. I ink blended the mountain landscape and to frame the scene I took a tip from the course, and made a window!! I didn’t have a window die so I just made my own using scraps of white cardstock and I think it worked perfectly.




To finish off the card, I used one of my favorite sentiment sets, Label Love, and added a cute sentiment that I thought was very appropriate (and pun-ny) for the mountain scene!

[Oceans of Joy] Multi-Occasion Card

I am still building my cardmaking collection, and it is SO easy to get into the blackhole of buying endless craft supplies. I really need to stop myself. I came across this adorable ocean themed stamp set,  Oceans of Joy , from Sunny Studio Stamps! Head on over to my Instagram to see a reel on how I made this card!     I wanted to create a fun wavey background so I took some scrap cardstock and cut a "wave" pattern and used it as my stencil with a blending sponge and my Stampin' Up spot inks. I LOVE how it turned out. I wanted to add more texture so I purposefully blended with differing pressures to get some texture in the background. I can't wait to make and use more stencils in my cardmaking. I stamped the sentiment, whale, crab, and water images using my misty on some textured white cardstock and colored in using my Prismacolor colored pencils. All About Layering 3: AECP

Hello everyone! Happy New Year!! I was recently accepted into the Altenew Educator Certification Program and can’t think of a better way to start off the year!  I think anyone who is a floral lover knows that Altenew has some of THE best stamps, dies and stencils.
