[Girl, Me too] April Holiday Hop

Welcome to the Wacky April Holidays Instagram hop! You know all those bizarre, random things that earned themselves permanent days of national recognition? Today we're going to celebrate them! Who says only major holidays get cards?!

Let's celebrate National "Girl, Me Too" Day on April 7th! Of course I had never heard of it before and I LOVED the supportive, encouraging, girls rock! message it conveys. But.. I decided to have a little fun with it and go the " Basic Girl, Pumpkin Spice Latte" Route. This stampset from Simon Says Stamp was perfect! Meeting up with girls for coffee or drinks and supporting and encouraging each other through life is what I'm all about!

[Salt and Pepper] Brutus Monroe

Hey all! Valentine's Day is right around the corner! I created this card by cutting paper strips from the "Be Mine" Paper pad and staggering them on the left side. Then I stamped the "Salt&Pepper" stamp and sentiment using Detail Ink in Raven and colored it in with alcohol markers. Thanks for stopping by! [Oceans of Joy] Multi-Occasion Card

I am still building my cardmaking collection, and it is SO easy to get into the blackhole of buying endless craft supplies. I really need to stop myself. I came across this adorable ocean themed stamp set, Oceans of Joy , from Sunny Studio Stamps! Head on over to my Instagram to see a reel on how I made this card! I wanted to create a fun wavey background so I took some scrap cardstock and cut a "wave" pattern and used it as my stencil with a blending sponge and my Stampin' Up spot inks. I LOVE how it turned out. I wanted to add more texture so I purposefully blended with differing pressures to get some texture in the background. I can't wait to make and use more stencils in my cardmaking. I stamped the sentiment, whale, crab, and water images using my misty on some textured white cardstock and colored in using my Prismacolor colored pencils. All About Layering 3: AECP

Hello everyone! Happy New Year!! I was recently accepted into the Altenew Educator Certification Program and can’t think of a better way to start off the year! I think anyone who is a floral lover knows that Altenew has some of THE best stamps, dies and stencils. It was one of the first brands I purchased when I started out my paper crafting journey. Of course, they have so much more than florals in their shop and I am so excited to dive into this process. I’ve already started some of the classes and it has really reinvigorated my passion for crafting and card making.
