[Toadally Awesome] Simon Says Stamp August 2021 Monthly Card Kit

I finally caved and subscribed to the Simon Says Stamp Monthly Card Kit and received my August 2021 Box. It is filled with fun frog, toad and plant related stamps, papers and embellishments! For my first card, of course I had to make a shaker card!

I used to find shaker cards so intimidating, but now I'm getting the hang of it. But I came across these foam fronts which make making shaker cards so easy! I had to pop out the foam insert and I stamped the sentiment and butterfly stamps. I stamped the frog image and some extra flowers and butterflies on white cardstock and colored it in with my alcohol markers.  I used the cloud stencil with my Stampin' Up Ink spot to create the sky effect. I filled the shaker card with the frog and flower embellishments that came in my box and added some green sequins for a little extra sparkle (I also feel like I never use green sequins!)

These frog and flower embellishments are *toadally* adorable!

I love how it turned out! Do you love making shaker cards?

[Oceans of Joy] Multi-Occasion Card

I am still building my cardmaking collection, and it is SO easy to get into the blackhole of buying endless craft supplies. I really need to stop myself. I came across this adorable ocean themed stamp set,  Oceans of Joy , from Sunny Studio Stamps! Head on over to my Instagram to see a reel on how I made this card!     I wanted to create a fun wavey background so I took some scrap cardstock and cut a "wave" pattern and used it as my stencil with a blending sponge and my Stampin' Up spot inks. I LOVE how it turned out. I wanted to add more texture so I purposefully blended with differing pressures to get some texture in the background. I can't wait to make and use more stencils in my cardmaking. I stamped the sentiment, whale, crab, and water images using my misty on some textured white cardstock and colored in using my Prismacolor colored pencils. In hindsight, I wish I had used a smooth white cardstock instead, as it makes the coloring look a little messier than I...

Lime All Yours

Hey all! I'm here sharing today's card with  Time for Tea Designs! I used the Squeeze the Day stampset to create this citrus filled card!  To create this card, I first took an A2 white panel and stamped the row of citrus fruits in yellow, orange, and green in an alternating pattern. This will be our background. Next, I stamped three citrus wedges (I decided to make mine limes) and one circle citrus. I colored them in various shades of green and yellow-green to resemble limes. After coloring and diecutting these out, I placed them on the left side of the panel with foam tape for dimension. I stamped the sentiment with white embossing powder on a black cardstock for contrast. This is my favorite way to show sentiments (if you can't tell already!) Lastly I added some dots of yellow and green on the left for some added interest. Thanks for stopping by! Jill

Adult Sippy Cup: Pajama Crafter Stamps

Hey all! Happy Wednesday! I'm shaking things up today with a shaker card using the  Adult Sippy Cup  die from Pajama Crafter Stamps. First, I did some "ink smooshing" on the background to create a watercolor, marbled look. I then topped off the card with sentiments from the " Chuggin On " stampset.  Thanks for stopping by! Jill
